I was at Key Arena last week (8/24/2016) for a concert. They were using hand held wand style metal detectors and performing bag checks. I don't know if they do the same for Bball games.
I was carrying concealed and the wand didn't make a peep. Gun was on my right hip and the "security" was standing on my left. I have used this approach once before with the wands and it didn't detect my gun, car keys, pocket knife or belt buckle. I wasn't carrying a Glock 7 either. Just a polymer frame, single stack 9mm.
Key Arena does have a firearm checking policy, but I have never tried it.
