Republican Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito signed the bill Friday in her capacity as acting governor because Republican Gov. Charlie Baker is on vacation in California.

"The provision passed by the legislature ... allows for excessive punishment including life imprisonment, with a minimum sentence of 18 months, for the mere possession of these accessories," .......

... and THIS, despite the fact that it has been repeatedly shown on various youtube videos, that one does NOT need a bumpfire or SlideFire stock to achieve high rates of fire. In fact, I have observed members shooting on my range with those stocks experiencing difficulty in maintaining a constant rate of fire -- perhaps due to inexperience -- whereas simply exercising a rapid trigger finger can quickly empty a 30-round mag without stopping.

Life imprisonment? For mere possession? That can't be right...

Next we shall be forced to give up powered vehicles and walk everywhere because a few drive carelessly. Obviously they think the vehicle is to blame, not the person.
