Well today I had a moment that was very interesting to say the least. I was out shopping and found that my gas gauge had was not working correctly as it was still showing 1/4 tank for the last 5 hours i was out. Well no faster did I discover that than I had ran out of gas and was in a turn lane on a major road stranded.
I had put my gun back in its carry case in the truck as I don't like wearing it because the seat belt can catches the safety on the gun and I just don't like that.
Well after sitting blocking the turning traffic a Fairfax County Officer had pulled up and I told him what happened he offered to drive me to the gas station a couple of blocks down the road, I accepted then thought I did not want to leave my gun in an unattended truck, told him that I do have my gun in the car and did not feel safe leaving it there and would it be ok with him if I open carried it, He said sure and put me in the back of the squad car to go to the gas station, got the gas and drove back to the truck filled it up and off he went.
I thought for sure I would get all kinds of drama over it but he was cool about it .
That has to be the Best OC moment ever!
Thanks to the Fairfax police officer for your help!
