I am trying to form an Open Carry meeting at McDonalds in Hickory, NC just off Highway 70 and Center Street; trying for the 18th or 19th. Time to be announced.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. Please make up your mind ASAP. I need to book a room and also figure out timing to get back home on the 20th.
As mentioned elsewhere, just pick a day and time (now that you have picked a place) and tell people to show up.
For those that did not read the other thread, I'm picking up the tab for our host and the first five other OCers who show up.

OK then....the 19th since you wanted a week and between 1500 and 1700 hours.
Room booked. Arriving late afternoon/evening 7/18. I'm the guy that looks like Santa with a bad attitude/Jerry Garcia before he died/homeless guy (pick one) with a cane.
Anybody wanting to do a pop-up get-together that evening send me a PM.

Just went to www.yelp.com and found a bunch of interesting places in the $$ rating pages (all 6 of them). Several are chains that are known nationally as gun-friendly or at least gun tolerant. Others are local that look interesting. I'm extending my offer to pick up the tab for the first five (5) who PM me about a Saturday get-together, as well as pay at Micky D's on Sunday.
Several good prospects for steak and Asian if anybody needs incentive.

Wish I could make it. I am driving to Sanibel for vacation on the 17th. Will be looking for another when I get back!

Just a reminder, I scheduled for Sunday, the 19th between 1500 and 1700 hours. It is only the 18th at 1516 hours.
No kidding. The reason I came down today is to be sure I don't miss the big event.
I've told you how to recognize me. Will you be wearing a special flower? Or just your post apocalyptic costume? Don't forget to bring the gauge you have talked about carrying.

Yep, just bc cruiser. I didnt see any virginia plates around when I checked the handicapped area at the other entrance opposite of the dive through. It was just cruiser with his bike and the cars all had nc plates. Left around 1747 hours....noone else open carrying except cruiser with his 1911 came. Guess I may have to pick a better location next month....

As I said, I stayed an additional 2 hours and 47 minutes, going outside nearly every 30 minutes to smoke and I also tried private messaging skid.
