Hi. I live in Mesa. Can I open carry a fixed blade knife here? What about in my car? Must I put it in the glovebox when driving?

Note: I do not have a ccw permit.

You need to read the AZ ARS on weapons. There are no knife laws in AZ but what is considered a weapon could be a knife. Remember the Permit here is not a CCW but a CWP or concealed weapon permit that covers not just guns which is a weapon but all weapons. My advice is read and then ask questions.

I hope this helps. :)

So, I got my knife today. It's pretty nice except it's a little tight in the sheath. I accidentally tested the sharpness on my finger. Yep, it's sharp.
So, I went over to the Barnes and Noble in Mesa on Val Vista and US 60 (ironically to buy 1984). I was wearing a nice button down shirt, dress pants, and dress shoes. It was at 5 o'clock, Saturday.

I was wearing it in the sheath of course, on my right side (I'm right-handed) at 3 o'clock. I didn't notice any looks except for a guy in front of me in line who stared at it for about 5 seconds but seemed to be hiding fear or dismay. Then the lady at the counter also stared at it and seemed awfully disturbed--as if I was carrying a gun. She talked in a very soft voice and seemed to be afraid to look me in the eyes. Of course I was very polite.

I kind of expected this. Going into a liberal hang-out like Barnes and Noble with a knife and buying a blasphemous book such as 1984 is gonna draw some attention. :D

Its all the crack pots we have moving in from CA Illinois and the East Coast. That is about 99% of what is going wrong in good old AZ. Most of my strange looks come when i'm in Sedona. Then again Flag has been over run pretty well by the libs moving in from the areas I said

Yeah, I think you're right about the liberals here. In fact, I have two bleeding-heart liberal brothers who are moving here from CA in two days.

I feel like I'm going to have the cops called on me when I wear my knife. Oh well.

Yep Most I see coming in from them area I look at as cancer. Cancer always destroys a part of the body that was good at one time. Then after that part is destroyed it moves to another part that is still good and destroys it to.

I for one regard people moving in from the areas I brought up as a way bigger threat to our way of life then the illegals our

Nice choice in reading material by the way; a road map for what is here and what is yet to come.
