You know, I kind of like the wording in that. If more places used "unlawful weapons are prohibited" rather than "firearms prohibited," I think I'd feel better about it.
There is a clear message that illegally carrying weapons is unlawful and that legally carried weapons are alright. This is kind of a win-win situation for those who like the "feel good" aesthetics of the "No Guns" signs, but doesn't infringe on the rights of legal gun owners.
I know it's a bit OT for the discussion, but I thought I'd chime in with my two cents about something.
