my thoughts go out to those who might have been affected by this evening’s event...
Three people were killed Wednesday night at a Colorado Walmart and no one was in custody as of 10:10 Wednesday night.
The Thornton police department asked the public to avoid the Walmart in the area of 9900 Grant Street. The alert came at about 6:30 p.m.
At 7:35 p.m., the Thornton police tweeted out it was not an active shooter situation at that time, but was an active crime scene.
At about 8 p.m., police reported two men were killed and one woman was taken to the hospital. About two hours later the woman died at the hospital.
Investigators have not released any details about the circumstances of the shooting or the condition of the injured woman.
