Don't they even KNOW that REAL "assault weapons" (machine guns) have been strictly regulated since 1934???

And illegally, at that.

The 2nd Amendment does not read: A well organized Militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, except fully-automatic weapons, grenades, certain knives, rocket launchers and artillery pieces, shall not be infringed.

The government is rife with lunacy and tyranny. As is the left.

90.95% against.

Of course,...... Obamalama & Congress don't give a ratz patootie about this poll.

Neither the results of this vote nor the US Constitution apparently will determine which way they vote.

The antis will still defend their position because it's not a "scientific" poll and doesn't represent an "accurate cross-section" (read: stacked anti) of the community or that too many votes came from outside the readership or coverage areas.

Anything to bolster their agenda of fear: We're scared of guns, therefor nobody should have them.

Lunacy.

Well, from a statistical standpoint, the poll is useless. One cannot generalize from it at all.

Response bias in the sample. It's hideously biased. Any statistician will tell you that, whether he or she is a pro-gunner or an anti-gunner.

I find it quite humorous for the media to put those polls up.

It's even funnier for the people who, blinded/motivated by ideology, hit the poll hard...over and over....

It's kind of like a Skinner box experiment with a touchpad replacing the lever.....

Comment: Hell No. Legal assult rifles are not the problem. Enforcing existing gun laws is the corrective action needed. from Colonial Heights, VA by Don

Maybe we could form some kind of ACORN-like organization to seek out these polls and surveys and then...

....see to it that the votes come out the right way...

Banning something from law-abiding citizens does nothing to remove them from the criminals who will still get them. There are two markets for weapons; the FREE TRADE MARKET, and the BLACK MARKET. The Second Ammendment guaranties the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS! The Federal, State, and Local government need to apply stricter penalties to those that break the law. The Federal government cannot even stop the flow of Illegal drugs into this country, what good whould a ban on assault rifles do other than make more money for the crimal underworld!
