It pi$$es me off to no end when they call it the "gun show loophole!" There was no "loophole"created to circumventany law. It is a sale by one private citizen to another private citizen. The government has no business telling me who I can and can't sell my own personal property to. Why isn't there an "auto dealership loophole"...if I want to sell my car, what's saying the person buying it isn't an alcoholic and eventually going to kill someone while drinking and driving? (which is even MUCH MORE LIKELY than someone buying a gun from me and killing someone with it!) Are they going to try to hold me liable for selling my personal property, LEGALLY, to another individual saying "I should have known!"? Of course not!

Personal responsibility is dead in the world...for the most part, outside ofgroups like ours here...everything is always someone else's fault, it's always someone else's responsibility to take care of it for me...or to take care of me...liberalism at its finest!

Wow! You're late to the party. This is probably the 10,000 time this post has been posted in some way shape or form. Just busting your chops. I'm glad to have you on the forum and I admire your fervor.

I think I have met Ed at lobby day, but I will make sure to shake his hand next year if I miss him at Innsbrook. I will have to add him to the list of super patriots that I always come say hello to at events.

My list of Super Patriots:

  • SkidMark
  • Grapeshot
  • VCDL President PVC
  • That redheaded guy from Northern Virginia with the semi-buzzcut
  • Ed
Iprobably shouldhave put DV on there, but he creeps me out.

Thanks T Dubya! I'm here now and this is an issue very near and dear to my heart! My wife and I were at the Tidewater OC dinner last night and we sat and talked to Bubba Ron and his wife for quite a while. I told him the activism aspect of Gun Rights is something I want to get involved with. We talked about lobby day and my wife and I plan on attending the next one. I live in Portmouth with a Dumbocrat Senator and Representative...they will here whatwe have to say!

Both my wife and I will be at Innsbruck on Saturday...we're hoping to meet people from all across our great state while we're there! I'll be wearing my black leather biker jacket with a big bald eagle patch with "U.S.A." and "Live to ride" on the back...please grab me and say hi if you see me.

The moron that put this Photoshopped picture together posed the "model" in a way that it makes him appear to be breaking two laws... one legal and one just plain 'ol common sense.

First, he's brandishing! He appears to be removing a firearm (that can be inferred as being previously concealed) from his jacket with his right hand.

Second, he has his FINGER ON THE TRIGGER. What a shameful depiction! We law-abiding citizens, we safe, we responsible firearm owners all know that this is one rule we never break.

You are seeing something that I do not see, even after blowing up the image considerably.

I see no hand gun at all - hence no unsafe/illegal practice depicted.

You know it was the NRA that did that, certainly not some individual :^) I hope you hid your registration info Ed! I just checked whois and see that you did. But Skidmark did not, so you might want to do that Skid. It costs a little more per year, I think I pay $9/yr. Ed may know of a better deal which you may be interested in since you registered half the possible domains :^).

His right hand is holding a pistol, as if it were just drawn from inside the jacket. Try adjusting the brightness on your monitor, that might reveal it a little better. It's not the best photo.

For him to be guilty of brandishing, there would have to be areasonablefear in the mind of another of being shot or injured. Since we do not know that there was another such "fearful" person there, it is unfair to accuse him of brandishing.
