I guess anyone can commit armed robbery. But I don't know...
I mean I'm no expert but the guy just doesn't seem to fit the convenience store robbing mold.
Graduated HS with honors.
Immediately got a job with the public school Nutrition Services Dept.
Worked there steadily for the last 14 years. Was promoted to supervisor a couple of years ago.
Permit to carry. No criminal record.
Doesn't sound like a typical crook.
Though there is definitely something dark about him.

Well said. Though I consider myself a safe and courtesy driver I am sure I am unwittingly guilty of many of the draconian, often arbitrary, rules my betters have thought up quite often. Fingers crossed that I continue to go unnoticed.

I just finished a criminal proceeding in respect to a traffic ticket. The cop refused to show up for two trials. The prosecutor wanted to nolle the case, I objected.... I wanted a trial. The court dismissed the case a few days after granting the nolle, sue sponte. I objected to the dismissal and demanded my trial. The court, a judge in this case as opposed to a magistrate, essentially said that the state can arrest you, jerk you around, and then simply dismiss the case w/o a defendant demanded trial.

I am planning on appealing to get my trial.

Quite a dickish thing to say. The justice system is a corrupt cancer where almost everyone charged is bullied into admitting guilt under the threat of higher charges and punishment. The commoners are fleeced out of billions every year for inconsequential infractions of arbitrary rules without the right to be tried by a jury. It's disgusting. The fact that it bothers you reading about some harebrained nonsense Mcbeth does that disrupts or inconveniences some part or someone in that system tells of your statist inclinations.

Don't be so credulous. A traffic infraction is not a criminal offense.

True, yet traffic infraction (1 MPH over for example) is a arrestable offense...in MO. So, what is the difference if you get arrested for going 1 MPH over vs. a real crime?

As someone who drives and shares the roads with others, I have little sympathy for those who drive without the legally required liability insurance. A person who "can't afford" to pay for basic liability insurance (or can't afford basic maintenance like keeping lights in proper working order), can't afford to be driving on public roads. Period. Doubly so if said person is choosing to pay for a smart phone, cable TV, or a half dozen other luxuries that far too many today wrongly think are necessities.

Especially so long as "the poor need economical transportation" continues to be trotted out as reason to force taxpayers to provide mass transit systems.

Anyone who can afford a car and gas (at $2.20+ a gallon), doesn't have a bad tail light because he can't afford a $1 bulb. He leaves the bulb burned out because he doesn't care. Assuming one has a half way decent driving record, basic liability insurance is around $25 a month, or less than one tank of gas in most cars.

"Poor" is no excuse to utterly fail to meet minimum financial responsibilities.

All of which says very little about the shooting, one way or the other, IMO.

When discussing the process of arrest in MO what difference does it make if the offense is a infraction or a "crime?" I do not expect an answer given that I did not receive an answer the first time around.

When you get cuffed and stuffed those "finer details" provide little comfort. Especially since cops/prosecutors are loath to hit the "delete all" button in their computer banks where your name+arrest is located.

Of the court houses I have seen none have allowed you to bring in recording devices. I assumed it was the norm.
