How to carry handgun in Rockland county

I would like some information on how to carry my handgun through rockland county when i am going to the range. Some people tell me that i can carry my pistol concealed and some tell me i have to have the pistol locked in my trunk with the ammo seperated .

The only Rockland County I can find is just outside NYC. I would contact the NYSP Pistol Permit Bureau with your question; you can find their email address here.

If your talking about rockland county NY, it would of been nice to say so. In NY if you have a permit you may transport your weapon to a range. It should be unloaded and in the trunk is the best way to go. If you carry it on your person ( while not at the range) then your breaking the law. At worst, you will be arrested. At best, your permit will probably be revoked.
