I think maybe there's a misunderstanding. ???
I was just saying that posting a sign that reads "no illegal guns" (as you proposed casinos or other business' do) is pointless as obviously ANYTHING that is illegal should already be presumed to not be allowed. That's all.
I agree with you that telling people "if you are allowed to own it you are allowed to carry it" or some other condensed version of that is quick and to the point.
And I have often misread / misunderstood or confused one poster's post with another's or made a complete mess of my own posts. Short of Grapeshot, most of us are not literary masters and sometimes write wrong. haha (said with tongue in cheek)
Yep, completely missed the point. Comprehension weak however I am very good at misreading. I do agree with the true worthless value of a no illegal guns allowed posting however maybe a weak thought. I was thinking for those business that are on the fence of allowing firearms but feel they need to voice some kind of stance a worthless sign might give them the warm fussy feeling.
It does appear to be an impossible tasks of training all business owners and customers that a Nevada non-gov business gun sign is a waste of money. So if they want post a sign encourage them to post one in our favor.
Kind of taken one out of the local gov play book. Example, the new signs the city parks posted. Legal carried firearms are legal in Las Vegas City parks now. However the powers to be could not bring them selves to post a sign saying legal carried guns allowed. Instead they posted a sign saying firearm prohibited per an NRS. One has to know and read the NRS to find out it says legal gun owners can carry in the park. The only people prohibited to carry weapons in parks are those who are barred from carrying such weapons anywhere in Nevada anyway.
So the average park visitor unaware of the gun laws game see a sign that say in bold lettering ‘GUNS PROHIBITED” per a NRS and sees a legal OCed firearm what are they going to think? Just another one of the many pet peeves.
