voted independant, mostly libertarian. However, a good bit of the time i vote republican. I never vote democrat.

Used to be very in line with the republicans until they adopted policies that are along the lines of "if it takes 30 trillion dollars and the rights of every American to catch one terrorist it's worth it."

The republicans also brought us the DHS and it's related totalitarianism, and the Iraq war. I don't really have a huge problem with the Iraq war, but for $341 million a day and almost 3,000 american lives?? I'd like to think that money is better spent elsewhere (or put back in my pocket) and I think that the life of an American troop is far more valuable than all of that money combined. Is it really worth it?

As a general rule I personally believe in a lot of the republican values.... BUT i have the rare ability to set my personal beliefs aside and realize that others have rights and the job of the government is NOT to tell someone how to run their life.
Watch it, man; that's a lot of common sense. Tends to freak folks out... It'd probably be better for everyone if you just stopped thinking for yourself...

<smartaleckcomment> If you need to preface your ideology by saying "I hope I don't get banned" or "no smart aleck comments" then you might need to change your ideology. </smartaleckcomment>

Without quantifying your National Socialist political views, of course you're going to catch hell.... since themost famous of allNational Socialists were the Nazis.

Just asthe brand of Nationalism I ascribe tois different than the popularly assumed view, your own take on National Socialisim could be quite different. But until you share those differing elements, you shouldn'tbe surprisedwhen people immediatelythink that your political stance equates to Naziism. Even so, good luck with that.

Fortunately, the only guys here who can ban you aren't ignorant, and you don't have to worry about a ban unless you repeatedly and egregiously violate forum rules.

The idiots will judge you based on your stated political beliefs. The rest will only judge you if you don't fully back up your statements. ;)

Bookman, perhaps you should consider adding "Communist" and "Socialist" to the poll options? After all, Obama seems to be quite popular amongst these affiliations. This might flush out the "Other" category.

Next time...although I almost DID add a category for Socialist.

When the media picks up on this side, and starts using the affiliation polls to bash gun owners in some way, I'd like to see the fascists well separated from the group.

That's why there's option #2 in this poll.

Personally, I'd rather see Obama screw up this country than see a RINO do the same.

If Pallin was on the top of the ticket, I'd reconsider. I liked her when I first started to hear her name back in February.

with mccains health, it's a real possibility. I feel mccain made that pick on purpose.

Voting for Barr puts this country at higher risk of getting Obama.
Only if you live in a purple state. Such is the nature of the electoral college system.

For example, as an Arizonan, I could vote for Barr without any risk of helping Obama. There's no chance he'll win here. I'm considering it, in fact, even though I'm hoping McCain wins.

personally, I am rather different from most. I am a Southern nationalist, and a constitutionalist. i consider myself to be a true patriot.

As for the McCain/Palin, Obama/that dumb anti-gun liberal turd, and Barr/whoever; let me say this. while I was originally quite fond of Palin, there are a few things that have cooled me on her. personally, she would still make a better candidate for pres than anyone currently running, but you get what you get. as for who I'm voting for, Barr '08.

and to all of those who talk about a vote for Barr being a vote for Obama, I'll tell ya'll like I tell the democrats at work. If you're party would put nominate someone worthy of the office, then you wouldn't have to worry about it.

As for McCain and his "pro" gun stance, I like gunshows, and I like Saturday night specials. those are actual pro 2A activities, activities which McCain would like to eliminate. you can have him, I don't want him.

And McCain is at his statistical lifespan limit. With his past tribulations in Hanoi, his more recent health problems, and the stress of campaigning, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Palin took office within the next two years.

And I seriously don't think she'd let McCain go through with those hairbrained gun-show & Saturday-Night-Special schemes. I've got the feeling that ifhe had nominated someone without the guts (or a sycophantic yes-man like Biden)to challenge him on policies which completely deviate from Conservativism, we'd see a lot of liberal-moderate "maverick" policy decisions on McCain's part. But Gov. Palin is no spineless turd who'll just sit and watch the President work.
