It IS their place (private property) and they can do as they like. If you do not like, you can leave. If they do not like you, they can ask or demand (trespass) you to leave.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Let me clarify what he means by their place, they do not have authority to search! They have two options if a person declines, leave them alone, or trespass them. If they trespass them merchandise in the cart is left there is no obligation to put it back, and staying to do so would be breaking the law.

How many of these non issue encounters were in major cities?
In am interested in hearing about the experiences in the liberal places like downtown Dallas.
i never thought it would be an issue in most of Texas. The Democrat controlled cities is the only places i thought there might be issues.

Gad do a FOIA and see why the nice LEs might have been dispatched or might have been their normal patrol mode.
do not go and get paranoid on the OC'g thing and project the police are out for you...of course the nice women agains guns has put out on their FB to call 911 and 'exaggerate' the OC's activities which kinda get the nice LE in their purdy gear...

Actually, what I meant was that I wouldn't show the LTC to WM manager unless asked. I still haven't been asked yet, and I'm certainly not going to go out of my way to track down a manager and volunteer to show my LTC. If anyone is on the fence about this issue I guess they could always get some kind of ID holder that attaches to their belt beside their rig??
I'm honestly not worried about it at all. Kinda thought it would be funny TBH. I wasn't doing anything wrong plus it's not uncommon to see squad cars outside supermarkets anyway. It was really just conjecture on my part and it's certainly not going to stop me from doing anything different than I have been. If a nice LEO shows up and pleasantly asks to see my LTC I'll tell him that I'll gladly show him my LTC but before I get it out I'll also be asking if they believe I was acting suspicious or otherwise appeared to be committing a crime of some sort--all while I record the encounter. Then I'll suggest to him that their time may be better spent scolding the person who made the MWAG call for wasting police time and resources.

I haven't had any issues at all in San Antonio. Haven't been downtown OC yet as I don't get down there often but otherwise I'm pleased with the non-response within S.A. city limits.

Not just Texas but the entire USofA.
I do not go anywhere that I cannot defend myself. I still need a US Post office now and then. I go to the Post Office annexes that are popping up in gas stations and mini marts. 100% legal, gets the job done without arrest

Out and about OC again today since it warmed up a bit. Went in the Lowes Market again and a couple were walking in behind me. I heard the lady say something about me carrying but didn't quite catch it. It sounded positive though.

Authority based on what law that is higher than the Constitution? We've got to stop pretending those in authority can make decrees outside their authority and still have it stand. Anything that is said regardless of form, whether it be called a law or statute or executive order is actually nothing more than foolishness spouted by those who know full well we the people will hand them their power. They have neither power nor authority to enforce anything of the sort and as I proved earlier, Texas law clearly allows for the self defence of oneself when a crime is taking place and it is certainly true, if one exercises their rights in the manner, serious crimes will be attempted.

Most of us live in the real world.
I'm pretty sure that even if you don't believe it, the the handcuffs and prison cell bars or bullets will seem very real when they impact your body after your attempt to 'defend' yourself from what you consider to be criminal acts by entities of the US government.

The real world as defined by the government that wants to enslave you. I wouldnt be taken. Firstly I wouldnt do it on my own as thats certain suicide and second, in the words of Spock 'the needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few'. I would not be arrested as the would be kidnapper would either stand down or would have to murder me in cold blood. Thus proving how ruthless they really are.
That is not an choice that many would pursue - such martyrdom is so final.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not a suicidal maniac. I have no wish to throw myself at death and scream 'please take me'. But at the same time, our freedom was built on blood. The blood of those who just said no and fought back. And no i'm not baying for revolution either. That again is undesirable. But we can no longer define reality by what we are told. We can no longer define reality by what we see. We have to define it by the terms of the Constitution and that simply doesnt recognise all these prohibitions. They don't exist according to it. Therefore anyone who thinks differently is not acting according to the reality this country was founded on.

I believe that is what many of us are trying to convey, somethings are worth dying for.
I will not submit blindly to being a sacrifice on a stone alter, yet I will acknowledge that I may one day be carried from the field upon my shield.

No I hadn't. I've had my TX CHL for a bit over 19 years now. When my kid brother passed away a few years ago in West Virginia and I had to drive up there I almost tried OC there (as my TX and FL permits not recognized there) but decided against as my brother and the local sheriff didn't get along. And he wouldn't approve my brother's carry permit come renewal time. So once I got to Charles Town I put the pistol in the house until time to head back to TX.
About the only thing I would've done differently was not to voluntarily offer my LTC to the WalMart manager type folks. Basically, I would just "carry on"
It was kind of a "one time" thing. I was already talking to them, they hadn't seen the OC Glock and I surmised many of them weren't really comfortable with corporate telling them to do this. So being an easy to get along with laid back kind of person I took the friendly tack. Turned out I was right, in the short conversation we had he did mention it felt kind of awkward for him to have to stop a few and ask them about their LTC.
I learned a few things, I do a bit of writing and he offered that previous contacts on his shift had gone well with no real confrontations for which he was grateful.

You would be taken, that much is a certainty! One way or another. Maybe not right away, but they will take you!
Like I said, I live in the real world where real people depend on me every day. While I may agree with your thoughts on the matter, I'm in no position to be a Martyr (more likely labeled a nutcase by 90% of the country) right now, especially for something a silly as a Post Office regulation. We still have many, many opportunities to reverse the course we are on, peacefully. And that is where I chose to focus my energies.
You of course are free to do whatever you think you need to do.
