We can certainly use that as a major legitimate criticism that these legislators don't even grasp that guns are for protection. These morons want to claim they do this to avoid criminal violence, yet it doesn't even occur to them that good people use guns to stop crimes every day and they didn't even consider that in their legislation!

Any body remember the folks in New York standing by guarding their neighborhoods with clubs and such after they were wiped out this past fall? Had that been anywhere else people would've likely been carrying guns and there's a high likelihood people may have shared their arms with trusted neighbors to carry out that protection.

Background checks to prevent us from experiencing crime? Bull stuff! These background checks are intended to make felons of people who simply want to keep themselves safe in the most effective and quickest way possible.

Obama, Manchin, Toomey, Schumer, Feinstein and their traitorous pals truly do hate us.

A House version? Really?

No wonder we haven't heard anything from The Speaker about how DOA the Senate version would be.

And there doesn't appear to be much difference between them, either.

Sponsor:Rep. McCarthy, Carolyn [D-NY-4] (Introduced 01/03/2013)
Cosponsors:83
Latest Action:01/25/2013 Referred to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, And Investigations.
Major Recorded Votes:There are no Roll Call votes for this bill

Kaine knows that he is safe for now... but Mark Warner is up for re-election in 2014. Hopefully gun owners come out in droves and get him out of office!

Indeed.

You know what. I would really like to see a pro-2A senator offer an amendment next week as to the true meaning of the 2A. It would officially put those on record, one way or the other, who like to brag about their 2A record because they support hunting.
