TWO MASKED bandits armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a pair of multi-grips.

A firearms ban and a $500,000,000 buy back has done absolutly nothing in preventing criminals from continuing their trade. If anything it has only enabled them knowing law abiding citizens have been neutered. This is only one of several armed roberies carried out over the past few days.

Channel 10 showed a CTV footage of an armed robber threatening a store owner with a hunting knife and demanding cash. The store owner, ignoring our armed self defence is illegal laws, reached under the counter and pulled out a base ball bat and smashed it onto the counter. The criminal ran like a scalded cat straight out the door cringing in fear. We need more of this here, only instead of base ball bats, firearms must be returned to law abiding citizens, if nothing more than even up the odds of not only being robbed, but killed!

A MAN has been shot after a home invasion.

A MAN has been shot in the shoulder and thigh after a home invasion in western Sydney this morning.

Three men armed with two guns broke into a house on Camden Street, Fairfield Heights and fired shots at a 29-year-old man while his wife and two children where also in the residence.

The incident occurred about 2.10am this morning.

Our mainstream (lamestream) media here is good at ignoring things that they don't want covered. Hopefully there is some "champion" in your government that will fight to regain your rights.

I can only hope that our country doesn't keep voting for anti-gun candidates. An outright ban on firearms would be a "call-to-arms" here but the anti's are smart enough to encroach just a wee bit at a time such that most people don't notice or don't care about what is lost. In many cases the USA is restoring rights that were infringed years back. Hopefully that trend continues.

Our media covers ever single armed holdup, even overseas shootings and every word including all the lies and made up statistics the anties spew forth, whilst the government here with the prodding of the anties and Greens holler at every oportunity to tighten the already toughest firearms laws in the western world. Apart for 2 members of parliment in the state of NSW, we are on our own. membership of sporting shooting clubs is increasing and the anties and greens dont like it one bit. To gain a firearms licence down under is a very strict and lengthy process, so to see an increase in licences and membership here gives us a glimmer of hope that things may be on the improve, be it ever so slowly.

Armed robber cuts a customer trying to prevent robery.

People often ask me, Haz, why is this happening? My reply is this. First make it illegal for LAW ABIDING CITIZENS to own firearms and make armed self defence illegal as well and in do doing criminals are enabled to carry out their armed robberies, armed assults, drunken bashings and home invasions knowing no one will possibly harm them. In fact if anyone tries to stop them they will just cut them up or shoot them. They then say, "Thats all we need, every idiot beig armed." We have been brainwashed thats for sure.

POLICE are hunting for a man who slashed a liquor store customer with a knife during an armed robbery last night.

Police said the man entered The First Choice liquor store on Albany Highway, Bentley, about 7pm.

The man was armed with a knife and threatened staff, before grabbing cash from the tills.

A 50-year-old customer was in the store at the time and confronted the thug as he tried to leave.

The customer received a knife wound to his hand and was taken to hospital for surgery.

The man fled in a light blue Holden Commodore sedan.

He is described as 170-173cm tall with dark skin, a slim to medium build, and an Australian accent.

He was wearing a dark coloured long sleeve shirt and jeans with a white tshirt wrapped around his head.

Meat cleavers, machetes, sawn-off shotguns and axes are among the weapons used in recent weeks as thugs smashed their way into so-called "soft targets" - mostly service stations, bottle shops and licensed premises - demanding cash, wallets, jewellery and mobile phones.

Details of more than 50 of the most violent incidents have been released by police this month.

However they are just the tip of the iceberg, with as many as a dozen more reported every 24 hours according to logs of the police encrypted radio network.

It is a similar story across the state.

Four men armed with knives, machetes and pool cues are wanted over the robbery of a hotel at Taree West on Wednesday in which a 54-year-old employee was assaulted and locked with two patrons in a store room as assailants ransacked cash registers.

HE was a crook who thought a toy gun and a scarf across his face would be enough to frighten a group of chefs at a Coalfields club into handing over the night’s takings.
But the bandit, very short at about 163 centimetres, quickly realised he had bitten off more than he could chew when the first cook he encountered on Thursday about 8pm was a former soldier in the Chinese army who was not used to taking a backward step.

Miners Lamp Restaurant proprietor Ken Cai played down the role of his father Ju Cai, when describing how the 58-year-old was trying to manoeuvre the man into the Weston Workers Club’s main auditorium after being ordered to hand over cash.

Ken Cai also believes a language barrier could have caused the thief to think Mr Cai senior was being difficult when all he was asking was how much cash he wanted.

Then there is the fact that Mr Cai senior, and at least one other in the kitchen, had utensils in their hands, including a meat cleaver.

‘‘We were busy, so my father didn’t realise someone had slipped in until he was right there,’’ Ken Cai said yesterday.

‘‘He soon realised that the [gun] he had was not reasonable so that is why he started showing him around.’’

Police said the former Chinese soldier, with his extremely limited English, had tried to banter with the bandit before the criminal decided he would run.

‘‘He identified the weapon as not being a functioning firearm and challenged the offender that it was, in fact, a toy,’’ Inspector Dave Robinson said.

The bandit was described as wearing a black hooded top with a dark cloth across his face, black pants with a white stripe and white running shoes.

I can't help but notice that in many of these incident descriptions, the race and/or ethnicity of the assailants isn't mentioned. How are citizens supposed to help the authorities without knowing what the assailants look like? This sort of political correctness is very common in US media too.

HE was just trying to get home from work yesterday when his car ran out of petrol.

The location wasn't isolated - in fact it was the geographic centre of Sydney - not a known danger zone. The 30-year-old driver was bashed, stabbed and robbed by more than a dozen people in what police called a "shocking" and "appalling" attack.

The man was driving home from work with two friends when his car ran out of petrol on Hassall St, Harris Park, a stone's throw from the Parramatta CBD, about 1am. The trio decided to walk the several blocks to James Ruse Drive to an open service station.

VIOLENT crimes committed by teenage girls have surged in NSW,

VIOLENT crimes committed by teenage girls have surged in NSW, with a 36 per cent increase in the past decade.

Packs of girls, with members as young as 13, are mirroring the territorial behaviour of teenage boys and becoming involved in stabbings, bashings and robberies with frightening regularity.

Youth workers are blaming everything from a lack of female-specific support services to reality television for the rise in crime committed by young females.

Police admit operations targeting anti-social youths would benefit from more gender research.

In the past two weeks there has been a string of incidents involving teenage girls, including the January 3 arrest of a 13-year-old who allegedly stabbed a taxi driver.

The cabbie was allegedly knifed as he tried to stop a girl running off without paying the fare in the Wollongong suburb of Koonawarra.

A MAN was stabbed in the chest as he slept during a home invasion in Sydney's inner west.

The 31-year-old victim remains in a critical condition, after two men forced their way into his Enfield home shortly after 6am (AEDT) today.

His 62-year-old father was assaulted when he answered the front door.

A woman who was home at the time was uninjured.

The offenders fled on foot before ambulance paramedics arrived to treat both men at the scene.

The father and son were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, with the younger man in a critical condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or any suspicious activity near Liverpool Road, to come forward.

The woman described the men to police as being of Pacific Islander or Maori in appearance, with one of the men about 175cm tall.

THE state's ability to protect the community from serious sex predators has come under fire after a convicted pedophile yesterday hacked off his GPS tracker, escaped transitional housing and allegedly attacked a female jogger.

Police last night charged Andrew Clive Ellis with two counts of entering a premises and committing an indictable offence, as well as one count each of contravention of a relevant order, deprivation of liberty, assault occasioning bodily harm and stealing. He will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court today.

Premier Anna Bligh yesterday blamed the courts for the escape of Andrew Clive Ellis, but The Courier-Mail can identify at least six crucial failures that led to him running loose on Brisbane streets for 16 hours yesterday:

* On October 25 last year, Supreme Court Justice Ann Lyons orders Ellis be released into the community;

* After a Crown appeal, Justice Richard Chesterman releases Ellis to transitional housing at Wacol;

A FATHER had to lock himself and his two children in a room during a Koondoola home invasion this afternoon.

An intruder broke into the Edgington Crescent house just after 4pm and stole a number of household items while the residents hid.

Inspector Paul Kosovich said it was a timely reminder for people to express vigilance even when at home.

"It's a key issue, people are more relaxed at home, especially during summer when windows and doors are left open," he said.

He said the resident did the right thing in hiding with his children.

"Property can be replaced, but family can't," he said.

The family was unharmed and could only describe the offender as dark skinned.

A SECOND police strike force has been set up to investigate the rising number of armed robberies across the Hunter, with 28 businesses being targeted in the past 40 days.
Detectives across four of the region’s local area commands have been called in to look at hold-ups in their area since the Miners Lamp Chinese restaurant at Weston Workers Club was targeted four days after Christmas.

But it appears the number of unrelated criminals, and not just the volume of robberies, has the investigators working overtime.

Historically, armed robbery spikes can be blamed on a small number of gangs or individuals ‘‘running hot’’ at the same time.

But there could be as many as 10 groups and individuals responsible for the 28 armed robberies since December 29, which equates to almost a quarter of all of the hold-ups reported across the Hunter in the year to September last year.

Charges have been laid over a series of incidents across the Coalfields, but it appears another professional group of armed robbers are netting tens of thousands of dollars through targeted clubs and pubs.

Edgeworth Bowling Club employees became the latest to be threatened with a gun when two balaclava-clad bandits pointed a long-barrelled rifle at them as they were counting the weekend takings after closing on Sunday night.

The Newcastle Herald understands the newly formed Strike Force Finite will look at links between the Edgeworth bandits and those who targeted the Shortland Hotel on January 23 and the Broadmeadow Newsagency and Post Office on February 2.

‘‘It takes a lot to be able to do these bigger jobs properly,’’ Detective Inspector Graeme Parker said yesterday.

‘‘We are talking about criminals who appear to be well planned and organised.’’

But what is also concerning police is the number of offenders.

It includes three occasions where young children, some estimated to be as young as 10, being involved in opportunistic robberies of newsagents and service stations.

There have also been a range of opportunistic offenders, possibly drug users trying to get cash to fund their habits, who have stormed softer targets.

Of the 28 armed robberies since December 29, police have laid charges involving 11 of them.

POLICE are struggling to cope with 450 break-ins state-wide each week.

"Another has repeatedly had her pension stolen - leaving her hungry and scared - while a Bundall, Gold Coast, family awoke last month to find a carving knife in their front lawn, left by thieves who tore through their home as they slept.

Others have told The Sunday Mail they no longer feel comfortable living in their own homes but also fear staying away for too long.

'

The antie firearms and the Coalition for gun control's chickens are coming home to roost in great numbers. Criminals know people have been dissarmed and many are terrified, huddled in their homes in fear as police struggle to do much at all about this epidemic.

"Sen-Constable Skugor said there had even been cases where thieves had found "temporary accommodation" to use as a base for stealing from surrounding areas, including one in inner-city Brisbane.

He described break-ins as "bread and butter" work, with both detectives and uniformed officers struggling to keep up with the massive workload."

A man has been attacked with a machete in Melbourne's southeast tonight.

The 28-year-old Cranbourne North man sustained slash-wounds after being approached in his car on Linsell Boulevard at 6.40pm by two men wearing hoodies.

The attackers demanded he get out of the car and when he refused he was stabbed with a machete several times through the open car door before stumbling from the vehicle.

The two male offenders then stole the man's car, phone and wallet.

The victim was taken to Casey Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses as they continue to look for the victim's black Mitsubishi Lancer.

One offender is described as Caucasian, with a solid build and dyed blond hair.

The second man is Caucasian, with a thin build and brown hair.

Any witnesses or anyone who has seen the vehicle should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au

Its been a while since I have posted mainly because nothing much has changed Down Under. Armed criminals are running the underworld whilst law abiding sporting shooters and hunters are being inconvenieinced by politicians, anites, and under resorsed front line police officers, forced into doing safe keeping checks.

Here is a first. In all my years living here I have never heard of an attack on persons as savage as this.

Over the holiday weekend, two men are in hospital with gunshot wounds to their legs and a third had his arms and legs broken before being kneecapped in Sydney's west.

Police were astounded by the most serious incident, the kneecapping, during which the man was repeatedly stabbed. But still he refused to tell officers who attacked him or where it happened.

The 28-year-old - who police believe has links to a bikie gang - called triple-0 just after midnight yesterday from the Seven Hills railway station, only a short distance from a Bandidos bikie clubhouse.

Officers investigated the clubhouse and surrounding area but were unable to find any witnesses. Assistant Commissioner Frank Mennilli said police had again been "stonewalled" by a victim refusing to provide the "ammunition" they needed to solve the crime.

"The person in this incident has suffered some horrific injuries, yet he doesn't know who did it and is not assisting police investigations," he said.

In Pendle Hill, five teenagers have been charged after another gun attack, in which a man was shot in the leg early yesterday.

The 43-year-old victim was shot just after midnight in an incident which is believed to have followed a number of people gatecrashing a St house party.

Police attached to operation Spartan, set up in January after a flurry of drive-by shootings, stopped a car in Granville a short time later and arrested the five occupants. Five males - aged between 17 and 19 - are due to appear in Parramatta Bail Court today.

Mr Mennilli said the Pendle Hill shooting was distinctive compared to other recent gang-related attacks, with quality information from witnesses leading to the arrests.

"It is clearly demonstrated if we can break the wall of silence and get people to give police timely information on these incidents, we will act on it, we will arrest these people and we will put them before the courts," he said. Meanwhile, investigators believe a shooting in Auburn about 11.30pm on Saturday could be connected to the Friday afternoon shooting of a well-known criminal identity.

The weekend incidents took the number of Sydney shootings to 77 in the past year.

Sunday morning also included the discovery of a man's remains in a dam at Hurlstone Agricultural High School.

A farmhand spotted the body at the Glenfield school just before 6.30pm.

Detectives are yet to identify the dead man, whose body is believed to have been in the water for some time.

IT IS a scene familiar across Sydney - as her shirtless, bloodied boyfriend pauses during a fight with another man, a young woman leaps into the air to land a wild, swinging right to start the brawl all over again.
According to new national crime figures women are now outpacing men in the violence stakes, with the rate of women committing assaults jumping

49 per cent since the mid 1990s.

Australian Institute of Criminology data shows the number of female assaults per 100,000 women increased from 125 to 186 between 1996 and 2010 compared to an increase of just 18 per cent for men.

Griffith University's Violence Research and Prevention Program director Professor Paul Mazerolle said there was "no question" young women were getting more involved in violence: "There's been a moderate increase in [female] violence but we as a community are less tolerant of violence so we're seeing more of a response from police."

Professor Mazerolle said women experienced similar levels of aggression but traditionally internalised their response rather than lashing out.

"The thing that cuts across both [genders] is alcohol," he said. "It reduces your self control and inflates bravado. That also affects young females."

While Professor Mazerolle said police were more likely to arrest and charge violent women than a generation ago, criminologists argued the crime of assault remained the most "error prone" of all categories with respect to policing and reporting.

Canberra University criminologist Dr Lorana Bartels said there was still "a lot of discretion" whether police would charge a woman in a melee: "With any increase we have to be careful. Is this a genuine change or an artefact of discretion?"

Police exercised that discretion in George St yesterday arresting the two men involved in a brawl that broke out about 2.40am but let the young woman go.

The drunken fight, which criss-crossed the street narrowly missing cars, continued even when police cars arrived.
