Rochester Festival on the Hills
Went to the Rochester Festival on the Hills event on Wednesday evening. Arrived around 6:10pm with my girlfriend, her son and my daughter (both 6). Had a great time. OC'ed my Glock 17 all evening. Took the kids to play in all the bounce houses for about an hour. No comments, no kids running and screaming for cover. Had a great time. Maybe 50 LEO's in attendance. Only contact I had about OC was an Oakland County Sheriff Deputy that said, "Yeah, open carry!" and gave me a salute/wave. That was it. A great event to attend. The fireworks were great! Considering there were 25,000+ people attending I was surprised I did not get any other comments. Maybe this is good news that people are getting used to people protecting themselves by OC'ing?
