Hi, For kicks and giggles i have been contimplating putting together a old west carry rig. I was thinking of a strong side SAA(will be a transfer bar clone) with a small 1849 wells fargo conversion in somesort of weakside iwb/pocket.
While i know that there are better actions and guns out there for s/d. I am in love with the beuaty of the SAA and the power of the .45colt. Sure reloading will be a pain, but statisticly you wont need the full 6 rounds.
I know the pros and cons, i just need help picking the right gun.
right now im considering either a berrata stampeed or a tuarus guacho.
I know tuarus isnt a name associated with big quality, but, they claim to have kept the "4 click" sound and feeling action while also having a transfere bar safety making it safe to carry with 6 rounds.
So any advice on guns, and anyone else do it cowboy style. would love to see some picks and stories.
