the line:
not only am I disarmed..but I am 'escorted'. Isn't that what they do after they catch you shoplifting? 'Escort' you to the manager's office? Talk about making the good guy feel like a criminal...
Dick's. Where the management lives up to their name.
It's for your own safety. I mean, they know they just forced you to be vulnerable, so they're assigning an employee as your personal bodyguard.
Sometimes I wonder if you guys take the time to actually read back trough the thread before posting..
Im going to spell this out for you ONE MORE TIME. After that, you can hang yourselves with whatever else you decide to manifest.
Dick's will take your firearm (rifle, bow, whatever) that you intend to SERVICE, check it in at the customer service desk, make sure it is unloaded, put a trigger lock on it, then put it in a box. At that time, you will be escorted to the lodge counter with your firearm in the care of the associate. Then the lodge associate will accept the firearm in the case and discuss with you what services you need. It is corporate policy that an associate has control over the firearm at all times for liability purposes...except for demonstration (like looking at it off of the rack). Even when you buy a rifle or shotgun from Dick's, you are not given posession of the firearm until you are out of the store (past the doors).
This AT NO TIME applies to any sidearm that you are open or conceal carrying. You guys tend to jump to conclusions like a pack of wolves with little or no critical thought.
