Nevada (Open) Carry Pamphlet

Howdy folks. Got a couple of questions.

One is that this pamphlet states that carrying my pistol is OK anywhere in my vehicle, in plain view or not, yet the guidelines at this site infer plain view only.

The other is the post from merlin over a year ago about "I'm 413 on my right hip".

Would anyone care to point the n00b to the statues to help me clarify one or both?

The site's guidelines are to clarify what we mean on this site by "open carry" as a practice, not in accordance with a law, which varies from state to state anyway.

There are no laws in Nevada that describe open carry. There are no laws in Nevada that prohibit a firearm anywhere in a vehicle, with the exception that long guns can not have a round in the chamber.

Only concealed carry is defined by law, and only applies on your person, not otherwise in a vehicle.
