Monday night went to red robin in Summerlin for the wife's birthday. It was surprisingly crowded, some people noticed for sure, but not a word.
After spending a bunch of money at Wild West Guns, I went with the owner and another regular for lunch to Mr. Moma's diner on Decatur/Russell, next door to McFaddendale's Hardware. After we were seated, the waitress comes by and says: "Okay, everyone, hands up!"
I didn't say anything, but I was sure thinking: "Great, another one who thinks they're funny..."
Then, she goes on to tell us we had just sat down at a table that hadn't been cleaned yet, and she starts wiping it as we all, you guessed it, put our hands up off the table out of her way...
I'm glad I usually don't say anything...
OC at renfaire, get your bail money ready!

Went to the CAS at the BC range Saturday. The kids had a good time watching all the Cowboys and Cowgirls going through their paces. If you have not attended one you should. Of course it is at a gun range so everyone has their shootin' iron strapped on. ( To you auto folks, that means generally single action revolvers ). They shoot revolvers, lever action rifles and shotguns all in period dress of course.

The Cowboy match is at the Boulder club every first Sunday of the month (and its preceding Saturday.)
I did Cowboy Shooting many years ago, before the targets started getting bigger and closer and it became nothing but a speed race. Literally, you cannot miss, and the guy that spends the most money on an action job and the most time practicing how to work it quickly is the guy that wins. You can't miss, and all the fun is gone from the sport now.
Ren Faire actually went very well. I had an extremely productive contact with Sgt. Stockwell. Video will be posted when I get around to cleaning it up and captioning it.
We stayed for about 4 hours, made several good contacts, and really enjoyed it. I mean, they have live jousting, FFS! (Yes, my first time)
