Went back to Sketcher shoe store to return some shoes they had a different security guard. Ended up talking to him for a few minutes no issues. We went to BJs South Eastern. As we were waiting in the waiting area there was a large family group the mom said Glad to see you carrying. This started a pro gun conversation for several minutes in front of several others waiting. I gave them one of my information cards. Service and food at BJs was great.

First time I ever went to the Clark County Fair and I get escorted out by metro. I got my entrance fee refunded and driven straight to my car.

For the whole 2 hours that I was there I was having a good time. Weather was good. Don't know if they offered other free rides to fair goers after I left. The driving was so so...no lights and sirens on the golf cart. And no...no beverage was offered as they kicked me to the curb!:(

On a side note...they approached me while they were having a western show going on to the left of me and the cowboy was shooting off his shotgun and Colt 45 Revolver

Did you at least get to eat the fried foods? LOL

Since the LVRJ doesn't care about our Second Civil right, I'll cover it: http://nevadacarry.blogspot.com/2016/04/open-carry-harassment-at-clark-county.html

I'm also going to start an annoying letter campaign to the sheriff to see if he will personally acknowledge his cops repeated failings and what he'll do about it.

To be fair, the failings are not on the individual cops, but ON THE SHERIFF's dynasty and its perverse relationship with the politicians.

But that said, these cops should have immediately arrested the person who told them to kick her out, as that person was the one that actually committed a crime. For whatever reason, they prefer their job to their principles.

Note the treatment she received. Would any lawbreaker be escorted out in such a fashion, and without any kind of paperwork?

They would dread if she came back ten minutes later and forced their hand. Kinda funny when you think about it.

I kinda wish I had the personality that could push these issues firsthand.

Requires the time + the money. All three elements are necessary to have a chance at success - willingness, free time, financial resources.

Also acknowledging that you could lose even after investing a significent part of your life. Though I OC 24/7 wherever I determine I may, I am of the opinion that direct challanges/tests that likely will be confrontational are best made as a group effort.....most of the time.

OTOH, I do need a new truck. Hmmm, maybe a 2018 or 2019 is in my future.

I have read through this, but I don't understand the exact reason they made you leave? You were not breaking any laws since you weren't arrested or cited. What was there exact reason for making you leave? Do you plan on a lawsuit or anything?

I'm sorry to hear that you had this experience, at least you stand up for your rights! I applaud you for this!

The fair "coordinator" stated that since the "private" company rented the land that it was against the "company policy" to open carry. It was a looong discussion primarily by me explaining to them the difference between "private" and "public". After I explained to them that just because you are "private" you are still on "public" property. All I got was a "deer in headlights" look. Metro officers did not want to cite or arrest me so all I can do is just write emails to the appropriate places. If the weather didn't turn sour we would probably still be standing there at an impass. I didn't want to leave and metro was refusing to cite or arrest so....

The situation really sucks. I think you did a good job for what it's worth, you tried to educate them.
