I am not in a position nor would I deny Cruz’s constitutionally as that is strictly the responsibility of the judicial system.

That stated...

if as any one of the MH specialist would raised the flag per established duty to warn doctrines!

if as one of the disciplined BSO deputies should have done per their applicable training.

if as one of the FBI agents who failed to follow thru on the tips. [hummm something about failing to follow through on tips caused the 9/11 debacles too]

if as one of the three school officials who failed to call the appropriate code when they saw Cruz while carrying on the school’s grounds.

if i were a coward like Peterson...no, sorry he deserves his punishment w/o MH interventions so he enjoys the nightmares while in prison.

It very easy to say when one has no ability or liability to say some body else should have been done at some point.

Avoiding the question is a answer in it's self..

I agree in this case.

Now the we know the facts.

So words to matter.

So you think it's ok for cops to arrest a 12 yr old that made a MAKE BELIEVE gun out of her hand and answered a goofy kids question with a goofy kids answer? Really?
This situation was a colossal over reaction by every adult involved . And the cops involved should be fired yesterday for being terminally stupid.

You had no power or ability to affect the out come. It is very easy for one to say this is what I would have done.

It would've been a common sense thing to recommend, before ruining a 12 yrs. old life or starting them on a path of Juvi. Removing her from school with handcuffs like a common criminals, in front of her peers and further degrading her self esteem.

How will you think she's will look @ LEO from now on?

If the person's in their ability can affect the outcome and they didn't use common sense or have an alternate agenda, then they should not be in their ability of power.

One of the problems is many of these schools have grown into mini metropolises. "There are eight million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them."

My highschool was big, but not so big you didn't know who the bad actors were. We had a few teachers that knew how to successfully perform attitude adjustments. That is if the problem was not resolved behind the field house.

sorry wasn’t an avoidance whatsoever FI as there are some amongst us whom not only have the appropriate training & ability and judiciously exercise said privilege as needed ~ fortunately rarely!

you keep advocating knee jerk handcuffing the children an pre-adolescents as well as processing these fragile youngsters into the system, not to mention causing irreversible MH issues for them and their families.

Today's policing on school campi is far different than policing on the "mean streets."

Institutional QI (school boards/districts/administrators/teachers/staff) and SCOTUS "rulings" on what schools can and cannot get away with where student (parental) rights are concerned has been the primary factors in the reeducation of America's yutes as to what is a civil (unalienable) right and what is a state granted privilege...unfortunately "schools" and cop shops are squarely on the side of advocating for the latter and not the former.

The several states legislatures must place felony sanctions, for the failure of cops following the laws, in the laws to deter a stumble bum cop from violating the laws of his state.

That RSO is just another stumble bum cop.

As to the intervention topic...nope, until a law is violated the state must not act. If you advocate to the contrary I respectfully recommend that you reevaluate your commitment to individual liberty.

I know many, many, many "patriots" that got screwed over big time by dirty cops and the dirty court system including dirty prosecutors. This profoundly effected their view of government to the point of the cops and government are guilty of violating citizens rights as their standard operating procedure.

That doesn't mean that every person working in government it corrupt, but because there are so many dirty government deviants it mutates.

P/S I'm one of those patriots.

Every government drone knows the "few" government drones amongst them that violate the laws and citizens rights...they not coming forward to "police" their own makes them just as "guilty" as the offenders....a steady, and virtually guaranteed, government paycheck is a powerful motivator to tow the bureaucracy line 24/7...

No I always said the context of what was said mattered.

I never gave an opinion on the arrest.

This is why I still firmly believe that police officers should not be in schools, especially to deal with disciplinary issues with the kids. As a safety factor to assist with real police things is great. School shooters, assaults, rape, what have you. But when I see a 300 pound tact out police officer with 6 AR mags, 3 pistol mags, and body armor body slam a 14 year old girl for arguing with the principal, I tend to lose my s%$t.
