I may be from Ohio, but I have to say:
THE SOUTH WAS RIGHT!! (well, except for the whole slavery thing of course)
I was born in the south, grew up in the south, and I am still trying to figure out why I am still living up here. I gave some of my "Yankee" friends a good laugh a while ago when they saw the 5x7 picture of Robert E Lee that I keep on my desk at home. But I guess that's not what this thread is supposed to be about.
I never had given a second thought to "conspiracy freaks" until about 6 months ago. The more I see of how the government, president,senators, and representatives ignore what Americans want, the more I am believing. I fully expect to see another revolution in my lifetime. I wish our country could be fixed by less drastic means, but I think we are past the point of no return. Take time to really read through the Declaration of Independence, US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. I did it today for the first time in a very long time, and it is truly sad to see how far we have fallen as a nation. For example read this paragraph from the Declaration of Independence:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security
I don't know how many patriots we have left in this country who will be willing to stand, but we must stand or soon we will be living without our freedoms. The founding fathers risked charges of treason, their lives,families, wealth; EVERYTHING;to found this great country. I don't want it to ever come to another revolution, but I don't know if we have a choice any more.
